ASTD Chapter Meeting

Join our own President-Elect, Alexia Vernon, for the launch of her new ASTD Press book - 90 Days 90 Ways: Onboard Young Professionals to Peak Performance. Alexia will discuss the key components of a successful onboarding program and the roles that HR, learning and development, and a new hire's direct supervisor can play in setting up a new employee, irrespective of age and experience, to be successful. Then, she will facilitate a panel discussion with Las Vegas community workforce development leaders Kim Leahy, VP HR/Training at Nevada State Bank, Punam Mathur, former VP of People Resources at NV Energy, and Jessica Tomlinson, Trainer at Allegiant Airlines about the effective components of their onboarding initiatives, helping ASTD members leave with tangible strategies, corresponding tactics, and vibrant examples to bring back to their companies.
