Cultural Awareness is the ability to recognize and appreciate the nuances of one’s and other cultures. Competence is the ability to understand, communicate with and effectively interact with people across cultures. In this workshop participants will learn the difference between cultural awareness and cultural competency and begin to understand how conscious and implicit bias influences our responses; we'll explore how all this applies to our roles in Learning & Development.

In this webinar you'll:

    1.     Gain knowledge of what Culture is and how it works
    2.     Understand Conscious and Implicit Bias
    3.     Explore  the relationship between Implicit Bias and Cultural Awareness
    4.     Learn the difference between Cultural Awareness and Cultural Competency
    5.     Discover the role of Dale Carnegie’s Human Relations Principles in Cultural Competence

Participants will leave this program with a better understanding of why we respond as we do and the knowledge of how to begin controlling our response.
